Tbh, I think the traditional support of both sides is in despair at the moment. The only thing that gives me hope in the UK is that the government seems to me to be doing the right thing in the Brexit negotiations at the moment, and I think it is important to get this out of the way so the country can look to the future. Of course, if you're a Remainer who can't come to terms with the fact that we are out of the EU, you don't even have this to be hopeful about. But I think hope is quite important. Better than sinking into a depressed funk about everything anyway. It's very hard to achieve anything when all you see is the negative in the world.

Contrary to your assertion, the MSM have indeed jumped all over this rather insignificant crumb. Other than the Guardian, a quick search on his name will reveal similar articles from The New York Times, Washington Post, CBS, Bloomberg, CNN et al.
Perversely, the same 'journalists' are also steadfastly ignoring the far more salacious recent revelations about crooked Hilary and her cabal fomenting the Russian collusion hoax. Let's see what happens.
