It would seem that a 'household name' BBC star has been paying some little wanker loads of money to send him some pictures to fap-off over.
I feel no sympathy for the 'victim' but I am curious to learn the identity of the stupid wanker that has risked everything for a few quick thrills:-

I think there is a bit more to this than just paying for pictures. He was paying, and I don't know if directly or indirectly, to fund her cocaine habit. If he knew or was involved with that I will have sympathy for her. If it was just milking him for money (tens of thousands Shocked ) with pictures, does he want any of me, I'm cheaper than that!!!

There is a tendency for people to take up a serious drugs habit (by which I mean heroin, crack cocaine or seriously overdoing drugs in general) to cope with trauma. Common for those molested as children to go off the rails in this way with self medication.

Again you can tell how the writers are expecting you to react to the story with how a 17 year old is referred to: "child" "teenager" "young adult" "youth" etc.

From the "age of consent" angle this is clearly a non-story; that the money fuelled a dangerous drug habit is more important. Apparently that's insufficient and we must be guided into feeling the correct way.

That's a very valid point. I'm not sure what if any laws have been broken here considering the age of the 'victim' and you are totally right, the way the article writer portrays the person totally affects the way people look at it. The minute you use the word child opens up the suggestion of pedo which is obviously not the case here.

Perve yes, pedo no.

I get your point but there is a huge difference between an actual sexual relationship with a young subordinate you basically have the power to promote or sack (and that we still don't know if started before they turned 16) and this one.

Saying that, it doesn't matter, he's fcuked whatever. He'll never work at the BBC again as they will drop him like a hot potatoe and so he should be.

We're talking about 'images of a child' and that, according to UK law, is exactly what he/she was.

I seem to remember a caveat in the legislation when it was extended beyond 16 year olds relating to pictures they made themselves. iI it is child pornography how comes the police weeren't involved from the start.
