I am on the fence here guys, going to cut it short, so I have this bike that was involved in an accident which is kinda remendable, the guy involved later died in hospital, I didn't know him but now knowing that knowledge am finding it hard which way to go, mend it or break it for parts. what would you do.

He died as a result of the accident he had on the bike.

Do you know the guy who died on the bike?

If so: do it up perhaps?

If not: whatever makes you the most profit for the least effort

What is the bike?

It's highly unlikely to have been the bike's fault.

I'd get it back on the road.

I was thinking the lesser known and much more originally named The Car - everyone needs a carnivorous looking black sedan in their lives.

Made a decision to go with the consensus on this one, so will leave it for a week and see what the outcome is, any questions about what bike is it will be answered after the outcome.

For me it would depend on whether I knew the chap that was killed, and how well. If I didn't know him at all, I'd just treat it as another bike. if I did know him well, well, that'd be down to very personal feelings and I wonder if it would be my place to say what you should do.

It's a bike, it's not haunted, it's a collection of parts.

The only good ethical reason to not do it up is if seeing it on the road would cause upset to his friends or relatives (and even then, only if they were likely to see it).

There may of course be a host of mechanical reasons.

Or you could get another example of the same model which is broken in a different way (eg crashed on the other side or a blown engine) and use that frame to build your bike.

It's quite tricky to give a useful answer when you won't post any details about what bike it is, what damage it's got or any other details for that matter.

If you mend it, are you wanting to keep it or to sell it?

You're not going to get useful answers if you won't give details about the bike.

How can you be so sure?
I really wanted to get fit this summer so I bought a push bike. I got half a mile down the road and it threw me off breaking my nose and gave me some nasty cuts and bruises. I got back on the bike and the same thing happened again. This has now been going on for about 2 months.
I'm starting to think it's just a vicious cycle.

These sort of threads are killing this forum.

What fucking bike is it?

We're not interested in a fucking murder fucking mystery.

Or get Poirot or Agatha Christie involved.
