You just have to tell ten lies. Easy as that.

Does it actually pay?

So I just did this. The way the 'earning' part of the questionnaire is worded is clearly intended to incentivise you to lie, and get paid for doing so - if you don't lie, then statistically you'd probably earn 50p or £1. It keeps reminding you, effectively, that if you lie you'll get 50p a pop each time, for 10 shots.

After you've done this bit, there's the rest of the (quite lengthy) survey to complete about morality and character traits, so presumably the first part is just designed to distinguish highly moral, truthful upstanding citizens (who won't earn more than a quid) from, erm, BCF'ers and their ilk (who will earn the full £5); and then they have two cohorts to apply the rest of the results to. Not entirely sure where they are trying to go with that, and seems odd that the liars (who will probably just tick random answers for the rest of the survey anyway) will get rewarded, whereas the 'class swots' will be penalised. £5 per punter also represents an expensive way of weeding out the 'rejects' as well.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if anybody who's earned the full £5 will receive an email advising them politely that they are lying bastards and that the probability of getting 10 correct answers is 1 in 10 trillion, so they won't get paid. Keep us informed Ste Razz

Meh, they've just phrased the questions to get the results that they want.

I tried going through it again answering the ten questions correctly, got one right and at the end of the survey it wanted my paypal address so they could send me 50p. Laughing

No I've not been paid yet, if I don't get paid then I'll be following the instructions to email Lury Sofyan about it. Razz

She's a "Taxman & Behavioral Economics student At University of Nottingham" and "Studies Industrial economics at University of Nottingham".

but i agree - thinking of it its 1/10^10 to get all matching answers so they assume they wont have to pay out to the "liars". sad thing is i answered the rest of the suervey truthfully so not really sure what theyre aiming at if they disregard everyone who got more then 5/10 on the numbers.

edit: i also want to know how yuove found it. if its a hidden gem we MIGHT get paid.. if its out in the open with 000's of responds i doubt we will/

What, so it didn't ask you for a paypal address when you told porkies and claimed £5, then?
ISTR there was some disclaimer about only one entry per person, so unless you've taken appropriate 'precautions' that might screw you of your 50p too... Wink

The whole thing is probably just a psychological experiment to find out about lying. Like when hidden cameras film peoples reactions to a bank note or two left lying around, or a wallet or something.

It did ask me for my Paypal address when I told porkies. I didn't give them my email address for the 50p (I closed the window rather than sending 50p to someone else's Paypal Razz), it was just a test to see if it said have ten ponds for being honest. Laughing

I took appropriate precautions.

Just went through it as well and also enjoyed the math questions, reminded me of GCSE's back in school.

I answered 4 days for drinking a barrel of water between someone who takes 6 days to drink one and someone who takes 12.

Anyone clever got the answers?

I also answered the personality questions truthfully but haven't used my real paypal address.

Uni students don't have this sort of money, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is etc etc.

Years ago I once got paid 50 ponds by Paypal, a nice crispy pink one, for going along to a focus group in Hammersmith, a bunch of us sat round eating their sandwiches and drinking their coffee and answering questions about whether, if they had the option, we would use a Paypal credit card ... Shocked At the time I was like, no way, WTF, not me Laughing

I think they chose me (and the others) because I was not using it very often or to buy very high value items, it was literally a tenner or twenty quid here and there: scented candles, Dominos or even just ribbons for my hair, that sort of shite. And they wanted consumers who were not actively using it regularly.

So you see ... you can get money out of Paypal - proper real money. Cool Thumbs Up

Not clever but pretty sure these are the right answers:

£0.05
5 minutes
47 days
4 days
29
£10
Lost money

Is it really immoral to click an answer if it says you'll get paid 50p to click on it?

If the button is a nuke, or kills a kitten then yes, who knows what we've done.

I just google searched one of the questions and they're very commonly used.
