I see, thank you. Jawa had the exact same issue with their alloy wheels on the 350/640. But there you just replace them with whatever Jawa wheels. BMW wheels could be a bit more expensive, challenging to find.

That does make sense. I might just buy yet another Japanese ''classic'' again. Mass production is what ensures spare parts availability.

I even had a look at some UK classics, BSA, Matchless, Norton, Ariel... not as expensive as one would thought, but the gear shifter on the right + very rare spare parts to many of those put me off instantaneously. When I say not that expensive I mean around £4K to £5K. Also those are motorcycles which price won't go down, if stored properly and riden accordingly. I have a dry, warm garage with no direct sunlight and I only ride for fun these days = perfect.
