You’ve got to laugh. Just been on the local news about Mackinlay’s court case.

He’s being done for breaking election rules where he overspent on his campaign, helped by Al “I’m a screaming lefty” Murray, to stop Farage from winning his seat.

The excuse given in court, to convince the jury that what he did, even though illegal, was somehow morally correct, was “fear of Nigel Farage”!

If the jury are convinced to let him off, they’ve clearly been done so under political motivation.

Good old Yougov and their hidden pro EU agenda. Wasn't it this lot who hid the option for "The Brexit Party" in a recent poll on GE voting intention, even though they'd just pissed the EU election?

The "significant damage" question could well have just meant what most people expect. That there will be some short term pain in the change over from EU membership to leaving for good, but this will be offset by long term growth. I think we all accept there will be some disruption.

Along with Raab being knocked out tonight and McVay in the last round, that’s the 2 who supported a proper Brexit out.

I sense the Tories will narrow it down to Boris and Rory Stewart and pick the remainer Stewart, as instructed by the EU’s Maybot.

That should ensure they stay a minority party for a bit and see a few Tories and voters move to TBP.
