Can anyone help? The bike was stolen from my drive and recovered half a mile away. They ripped the wiring from the switch (see attachment) and I guess gave up trying to jump start it and left it, on the stand. Lucky me.

However I can't figure out how to solder the wires back on. I thought I'd worked it out based on the lengths of wire and bits of solder. But it won't even crank (I've charged the battery Smile

Any ideas or advice welcome. Thanks.

Crap pic bro

new switch not an option?
no? too spendy? cba?
ok
I'd get a meter and notepad and map the switch functions
in every key position
then use that with a wiring diagram to connect it up again
my diagram sez:
White from main fuse
Brown to fuse box
Grey to igniter
Red to parking lights ( pfft who needs them eh?)
Blue ( red/blue?) to light switch and panel lights

cba to study diagram any further, me hungy

how you know no other damage done?

Just get a new ignition. If you are lucky you'll be able to swap the barrel over and retain the original key.

Thx for looking it up, writing it down, and sharing a way to go about it
I couldn't make out the colours/connections that the onine electrical diagrams made out. The bike otherwise looks untouched....
Cheers

Great. Another line of enquiry. Thanks. I'll check out swapping the barrel.

Yup, I read the first thread before posting here. It's a great story, but at the end does not say which wires go where.

The second thread is really interesting, sounds just like what I was looking for when I posted the question. Really appreciate you helping out. Very Happy
