At least you're not afraid of actually crashing. Me neither. It's posting about it on here that scares me Laughing

Just don't post about it on here - problem solved Smile

Oh dont worry i didnt come here for sympathy :p

i have a rather self depreciating sense of humour so I have no real issue talking about my faults and expect full ridicule...

On a side note... I did call the insurer yesterday... While i was still in town... And the department that dealt with it for motorbikes were on their break or something... And would call me back in a few hours...

Ive still not had that call...

Maybe i should stay quiet about it and see what happens :/ i dont like being dishonest though

You're not being dishonest, they just don't need to know. If they bother to call back, say you rang by mistake and nothing happened.

If you called them to report the accident, what then? There's no damage and nobody is injured. There's nothing for them to actually do.

Had something similar happen to a mate. Had his car pinched and the popo found it before he knew it was gone. He took it to a garage, got the dashboard reassembled and a new window put in and forgot about it.
Then, he had an accident two years later. Insurance refused to pay out until he bribed them because he'd not declared his car had been stolen, even though the insurance hadn't been involved at any point. Different car, different insurer, different address.

WTAF mate?

Pretty sure the van going in your lane and hitting you is NOT your fault.

What the police have done about that do they got the van driver for dangerous driving without due care?

Also don't lose time with your insurers they will help you fuck all.

Get a proper specialist no win no fee solicitors for motorcycle accidents and sue the sorry van driver ass for damages.

There's no real damage though just a bruised foot...

Also single lane Road and no real evidence...

The faults I meant were anything else... I didn't mean that the accident was my fault... I just don't have any ego to bruise... I don't mind admitting my faults so I post here like saying when I did later that day drop the bike, was more my fault... Even though I couldn't use my left foot at a stop.

Anyway I can do with some help.

I've been looking online for a camera system. Not an action camera but a security and accident system... I did see one half decent one called halocam m1, but can't find anyone selling it in the UK.

There are a bunch of Chinese systems but that's a mine field. Can anyone recommend me one?
Full HD front and back, smart phone connectivity for controlling and pulling footage, maybe an event trigger button that saves a second video of maybe a minute before and minutes after buttons pressed, along with continuing to record the normal 5min clips... And GPS for speed and map location tracking... I don't want a dash mount system as it would just be another thing to steal.
The m1 I mentioned did have an Lcd, but the unit was still more suited to be placed under the seat. The phone was the main interface... The m1 was about 140 dollars... Something up to that price would be good for me.

One company, I think was called ivono (prolly wrong spelling) make a similar system but it costs closer to 400 quid... Way too much for me.

If I had a camera I could have got the driver done for dangerous driving... Oh well

So, you wouldn't have dropped it had a van driver not forced you into a hedge earlier in your trip?

Sounds like the drop is effectively the driver's fault.

True... I wouldnt have dropped if i could have come to a stop with the back break and been able to rest on my left foot...

Still hardly anything worth creating a insurance claim over :p

Soft tissue damage takes time to heal. A 'sprained ankle' can take 10 weeks to heal. If you've limped away it's a good result for his insurers.

Seems he didn't want to give details, money would have been a hard one to get out of him.

Good job. It's deprecating. Your sentence means something else.
Just don't plunge into full on self loafing, it's not an attractive quality. Laughing
