Hi everyone. As you may well know I'm an biker returning to two wheels soon and have mostly narrowed things down for what I want.
Current front runner is a CCM 404 DS.

By the looks of things the bike uses a specific frame and rear swing arm?
Am I right in thinking that the rest of the machine is sourced from everywhere? Obviously the engine is a DRZ400 but where would I buy new parts such as brake discs, pads, suspension components etc?

To put it simply I don't want to buy a bike where replacement parts can't be had and be forced to make them from old frying pans and a stick welder.

Cheers!

When I needed ccm parts, I used Haines in Cinderford. They were excellent.

Hi,
I had the rotax engined 604 ds & never had any issues getting spares.
(was an excellent bike btw, still regret getting rid of it)
Most of the consumables were pretty generic tbf & anything unusual could be had within a day or 2.
I'd definitely recommend buying a ccm based on my limited experience.

cheers,
GAZ

Suspension is WP, brakes are Brembo - so standard parts.
Most such bits were from known brands.

Excellent!

Just as well because I bought the bike haha!!
So, I'm now the owner of a CCM 404 DS. Bike isn't mint but it's an honest bike which is what I'd prefer.

Thanks for the swift replies.

Probably but hopefully I get a few weekends on it at least.

The extension/shed/passage brick thingy it'll be locked in is mostly secure and more anchors are going into the floor.
I know I can never stop theft but hopefully I can slow them enough to stop an opportunist.

I'll see if some sort of tracker can be hidden on the machine though I doubt there are many places to hide anything..

Old Thread Alert!
