I learned this off of YouTube. I think they called it a life hack.

For those of you who struggle to lie-in in the summer months because of the sunlight entering the bedroom, all you have to do is leave the bedroom light on overnight but paint the bulb black so when you turn it on the room actually gets darker.

Problem solved.
