|
|
I was leaving work the other day and saw some moped theives pull into the bike park and sit next to my 600RR I proceeded to walk past them not making them aware that it was my bike. I walked round the corner and was going to wait for them to start with the angle grinder but I heard their moped move, so I walked back around and saw them target a different bike (maybe all my locks put them off thank god) anyway I ended up shouting at them to leave it etc and almost getting mowed down by the moped and getting my head taken off with a hammer! scary stuff, all happened in a bike park inside a hospital. But hey at least the random guys bike didn't get stolen so I guess its a win there. |

I do realise many have no choice as they use them for transport to work, but FUCK leaving a bike parked anywhere
you don't own or in plain view. The Police have basically been on strike since their budgets were cut in 2012, they
can't strike as such, so they reduce their visibility by being all over "offence" crime instead. I'm not putting the
boot into the rank and file here. They have to do what they are told by the bigwigs. But arseholes like that Cressida
Dick have them chasing shadows and offensive material on the internet, wearing high heels, wearing bear
costumes and getting their nails painted to demonstrate solidarity with various hard luck issues. It's stupid PC bollocks
and the coppers on the ground know it. But what choice do they have? Speaking out against any part of the current wave
of Liberal causes and you are finished on the force. So they grin and bear it.
Everyone has noticed how few Police you see these days. Scumbags can see this too, which of course escalates
their activities. The idea is if the old bill sit on their hands a bit and let everything go to shit around them, the lack
of funding will be blamed. The goal being securing more from Central Government because chaos then they start
doing their jobs properly and start banging heads again. CPS needs a massive kick up its liberal arse too. Because
when the fuzz do get some of the low hanging fruit in front of the beak, the punishments are pathetic or worse
still, they just set them free again. They aren't off the streets for more than a day or two while they attend court and
get fines they don't pay. Remote prisons on small uninhabited islands around the country are the answer, because
obviously nobody wants a brand new prison in their back yard.
No visitors, no playstations, no contact with outside world until their full and appropriate sentence is served. Boat ride in
and out. But that will never happen with any of the current shower of shite we have to choose from. Frankly, nobody has
the balls to do it. OP if I were you, I'd take the bus for a few weeks. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

The police were out in force on the bridges over the A5 in MK yesterday. I counted at least 10 with 2 holding radar guns. Short of a footy match I haven't seen so many in one spot for years
And yes, I was probably got as was doing 80 when I cottoned on to them
No excuses on my part but that is just a money making exercise on a dual carriage way.
More profitable than going after bike thieves I suppose. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Do they get to keep fine revenue?
I know one change, is that since central government cut funding, they are allowed to up their part of the council tax to make up for it.
You still pay as much, just more through local government funding instead of national. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

The "rank and file" that you mention aren't sitting on their hands at all, but running around unable to muster sufficient numbers to respond in time to meet targets for calls graded as requiring an emergency response. Or they're responding alone to calls that really should have a handful of officers attending. Helicopters are shared across three or four counties, as are other specialist resources. |
Does their pension come from the government funding?
I only ask because my mate has retired at 50 on a pension worth over £20K. He'll probably spend as much time in retirement than he has working. He's now taken out a student loan which he knows he'll never have to pay back, to go to University to learn how to dig things up with a tea spoon!
If police funding has been ring fenced, which is has (apart from the small rise in inflation), where is it all going wrong?
Crime is rising all over the country and it seems now that the police are more interested in promoting "safe space" workshops for offended teenagers or promoting the reporting of "hate crime", than catching actual real criminals.
After asking the public to identify them, very little else seems to get done on much of the crime around my way. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.
