Thirstiest car was probably my Volvo 740 estate. Managed about 22mpg on a run. Bike was probably my GPZ750R/1000RX, mainly because I rode it like a twat. Although the R100RT was probably not far behind.

That's shit, you've bought a nail, still, at least it's got pretty lights on the instrument panel..

Thirstiest, an old Fiat motorhome, but even that managed 25mpg. Thirstiest bike, Divvy 600, can't remember the mpg, but it wasn't great

less than 10 mpg in the scoob. on the motorway at full whack you can just about see the needle moving down

then again it will do 0-60 in less than 4.5

swings and roundabouts.

edit: you bought an ST with 100k on the clock? are you broken?

Denco-tuned Kawasaki 750H2.
It got through the reserve in about 2 miles.
Don't know how much fuel that was, don't care.
Don't know what mpg that works out at, don't care.
I did care when it ran out of fuel and I had to push it to the petrol station. Having filled up, I stopped caring.

I suspect the RG500 was a little thirsty, as it got nothing but caning. I didn't care. If I had cared, I would have bought a different bike.

My 750 turbo was actually very good with 'normal' riding. But if caned, it was thirsty. Given that a turbo is designed to shove fuel in as fast as the bike can cope with, that's not surprising. But I didn't care.

My Fazer 1000 isn't bad if I'm careful.
It guzzles when I cane it. How surprising!
Never worked out what it's actually getting. Guess what? I don't care.

2 previous owners last one was a Ford enthusiast and did a lot to it.

I looked long and hard before I parted with any cash and ended up going to MK for my ST.

Enough of the bitter and jealous comments. It's embarrassing especially the two delinquents who down voted my initial post.

12 month MoT with no advisaries is the worrying bit... Its too clean... If i want i can get a blank MoT whenever i want, for just a small 'extra' fee..

most decent ford 'enthusiasts' will stick to cossies and/or older cars like cortinas not this brash crap/

added to that its an ST, so most likely it will have spent most of its 100k miles in the red band of the rev range.

jealous? absolutely not.. if you had an RS id maybe give you a bit of credit but an ST is just a basic focus with a few ricer addons

whilst i do appreciate you like cars and "fast" cars, your attitude that the focus st , (the most basic ''sporty'' car you can buy) is the best car ever and a beast is so far off the mark. If you would just be humble and show off your car and leave it at that, you might have got a bit more respect/

My old Gen 5 Celica, loved that car, wasn't massively fast, wasn't economical, handled pretty well, but my god did it turn heads

Used to get around 18-22mpg around town/commuting, and around 25mpg on a run

When i bought that it only had 155,000 miles on it, ended up getting rid of it 4 years later with over 175,000 on it......... the only car i regret selling

The car has been well cared for get over it. Also a basic ford focus doesn't come with;

Full heated leather recaros which are extremly comfy btw.
Electric heated wing mirrors.
Global closure.
Keyless.
Xenon headlights with automatic headlight washers.
Parking sensors.
5 pot engine.
Etc.

Hardly 'ricer add-ons' and hardly basic.

Really nothing outstanding in that list, probably get just as much almost standard on a Dacia Sandero Laughing Laughing

My Volvo C70 had similar but not keyless... and had 350hp Laughing

Car wise though, my Supra or 750i were the heaviest drinkers, one being a 3 litre straight 6 suck small animals in the intake jap wagon with silly power, the other being a 5.4 V12 Laughing Single figure mpg were appreciated.

What's 'Global closure'? Sounds like something to do with Brexit!

Volvo isn't an ST. That is all.

You do realise the engine out of your ST is actually from a Volvo don't you

Think it's where all the windows can open/close at the same time. My Alhambra has it on the key fob.

Worst economy bike wise is my YR5, which does sub 20mpg when thrashed (so all the time as it only works properly when accelerating).

Car wise - my E46 325 coupe would do about 25mpg commuting. Nice car but too expensive for a 14 mile round trip to work. Have a nice Fiesta Zetec 1.25 now, gets about 38mpg commuting, slow as wood but then with the stuff i do on bikes i don't really need a buzz from a car i only use 3 or 4 months of the year.
