No manifesto is liquid tight but there is none better for this world at the moment than the green party, take a further look at them gents.

The Greens manifesto isn't a true "manifesto", it's more of a dream list from the membership. It's a list of stuff they like, not a list of stuff they can actually deliver.
Remember an election decides who runs the country, an election does NOT decide the state of the country being run or how big the pot is. Voting Green will not make more money be available, indeed it will probably lead to less money being available for the state to spend. The Greens tend to explain this away with vague statements about arms spending or something. Even abolishing defence makes little difference because it's a small budget, and the ones the Greens want to spend on (benefits/social security, healthcare) are big budgets. Of course you'd also have to offset that against lost arms exports and job losses!
The Greens are literally the opposite of what the country needs. The UK suffers from a lack of manufacturing and goods exports, but the Greens policy is to be even more anti-manufacturing, abolish imports and exports, and jack up energy costs still further (crushing manufacturing).
I do however respect Green voters but only the ones who live the life they vote for. That means you ride a bicycle or use public transport, own or rent no vehicles and never fly, use solar panels off grid with no connection to mains gas or electric, don't work in any industries disapproved of by the Greens (arms, oil/gas, most manufacturing, banking/finance), be vegan or vegetarian, and give to foreign aid as they would make you. This is a lenient list too. I could also quite legitimately ask you to house 2 Syrian men and let them share your wife. |
