I hope: A concrete sectional garage to put up in the garden as a workshop and store, since bike bits are hanging from the picture-rail in the room as I sit tryping right now.

It's a big 'un, and I've had my beady eye on it for a while. Some of the roof is OK, but it might need replacing with small corrugated iron, and I'll need to mix about 3 cumecs of concrete. But it might be low-cost. Smile Money. as always.

Probably more stainless fasteners for my bike to try and stamp out any powdery corrosion left anywhere on it.

After Christmas I'll be buying a new pair of fork tubes, seals, bushes, and springs. Then paying for powder coating the legs and for my local suspension specialist to put it all back together for me. This way a simple fork swap will run into £££'s Shocked

Supposed to be saving for the tattoo I wanted, maybe next spring?

Still perusing choices of car, will see something different on the (now widened) driveway before the next few weeks
are done. Looking with interest at the Honda CR-V

Having recently laid 3 tons of concrete for a shed base, may the force be with you.
Also, I recommend hiring a mixer. I think it cost me £18 from HSS. Bring a mate too, I did it on my own and it was back breaking, especially when I realised a third of the way through I ran out of materials and had to go to Wickes for more. Found out that 20 bags of 25kg each make most of the rear tyre disappear into the arch.

3 cubic metres by hand? Shocked Fuck that for a game of soldiers! Readimix all the way!

3 cubic metres of C20 which is standard for shed bases would need 960kg of cement, 1890kg of sand, 3510kg of aggregate and 900L of water. Oh and it all has to be mixed and laid before it sets. Laughing

I did the base for my garage. 4.5 cube. Cost £430, delivered on a Saturday morning it took us 2 hours to spread and level it. Fcuk mixing that amount with a hand mixer - that's a lot of shovelling! I doubt if you could mix it and get it laid before the first batch started to go off.

A new TV.

Wifie wants the lounge decorated and the TV on the wall but with as few unsightly wires as can be so in reality I suppose that is a very smart tv with a built in Freesat decoder and WiFi,

Nothing wrong with the LG we have but it's not very smart or it's operator is stupid as I can't load any apps onto it. Laughing No prizes for guessing which statement is correct.

Anyway, I shall probably go for another LG or a Samsung, they seem the best value out there.

Drywall. Thumbs Up

If you make it deep enough (far from the actual wall) you may even hide speakers there, that then would be flush with the outer surface. All the wires running behind the drywall.

This definitely,

I did a 30mm screed to level a 8' x 10' floor recently, that was bad enough, admittedly I mixed by hand in barra'

Fuck hand balling 3 cubes of the stuff

You’re all a set of puffs. Only took me about six hours of hard work.
I think I put in a bit too much water, so that probably slowed the curing down. I don’t know how it affects the strength in the long run, but it’s only a shed, I won’t be parking a wagon on it.
Also, I thought I was only doing 1 ton, not 3.

The best part was, our lass got home from work and then told me we had to go to ikea...

What, to Ikea for the shed? Would that be the Bendy Wobblything, or the Ricketty Leanover one?

Ikea sell sheds? Mine was a gift, I “just” needed a base to put it on.
Ikea trip was because the jars for sweet stall at our wedding were no longer good enough, so we had to go buy ten pasta jars.

Bike gloves and boots.
I noticed that the fingers on my ancient but brilliant Alpinestars GP Pro were wearing thin, and in some places holed. Replace with same soon. My Falco boots always felt like well-designed but slightly poorly made boots, although in fairness they've served me well for years, but I can now feel stones through the worn soles so it's time for some new boots. I've had Oxtar in the past but they felt like big wellies so I'll go back to Sidi. Must be waterproof. Shame they don't seem to do Black Rain Evo anymore. Sidi Performer Goretex look close, but perhaps pricier.

Next big purchase will be a meal for my daughter - she has a penchant for expensive restaurents and it involves a 250 mile round trip - bloody kids Evil or Very Mad

On the other hand, it is her birthday and I get a rare sighting of my gorgeous 18 month old grand daughter Wub

Not all bad then
