Contrary to the norm on here.....

I agree with him, it is an issue when riding in very heavy rain. But the key thing is IF you have the wrong size over trousers.

I had this problem once. I then solved the problem by buying one size bigger of the cheap trousers.

It's an over complicated solution unfortunately.

Depends, if you've got light summer gear on and get caught in heavy rain at random then perhaps - but surely you'll need a waterproof jacket so DrSnoosnoo's rain onesie would be the obvious choice

I have one just in case, not used it for years as both my HeinGerrick and Halversons gear has withstood what weather the UK has had thrown at it over the past 5 years of commuting.

The video wouldn't work when I tried to play it on the Facebook app.
Asked questions and they tried the double edged attack of "You don't know what you're talking about idiot" of a private "unrelated" individual and the manufacturer

I have an old pair of 'Proof' overtrousers which still keep the rain out. They pack down small and have full length side zips to make them easier to put on. Current prices look similar to the Kickstarter's earlybird specials.

Yeah, I carry over trousers that rollup to the size of s tennis ball + over jacket that rolls to the same sort of size for the odd shower.

But I also have a typhoon suit all in one in the topbox for emergency storm downpours.

Try the Kickstarter site- https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/benjaminobrien/neverleak-pantstm-waterproof-pants-for-motorcycle
Having watched the video it does seem like a reasonable idea.

Where is Ben Aaron's O'Brien posting, Ste?

None of the other Aaronses ever used the power of imgur.

Please can we keep him?

Despite how it may look, I didn't start to just "troll" the product. It was a targeted ad on Facebook, it took my interest so I wrote asking what it offers as an alternative to my current gear. I was met with angst. I tried to finish it, my post saying good luck but I'm not convinced. He carried it on.

"One idea is to take our cool Neverleak Pants™ logo and print it in reflective (silver) material on the ankle tabs"

"Cool"? No. Just no. If they're going to have an incontinence logo on the side I would not wear them were they free.

Perhaps they'd consider offering a fluorescent yellow map of your favourite archipelago. https://www.cafepress.com/+turks_and_caicos_islands_flag_and_map_classic_thon,667372508

Eric Lassard: Hi. I was wondering if you could tell me if these are better than my existing Buffalo 'emergency' Goretex overtrousers? What's the difference between these and cheap Hipora stuff?

Ben O'Brien: Hi Eric. If you watch the video on the Kickstarter page it’s explained in great detail, with diagrams.

Mr. Green

The [name retracted] thread ran from the 17th of January 2016 to the 15th of June 2018 which is 880 days. Can the pants guy better that? It's a matter of opinion whether bettering it means getting Korn to pull the plug sooner or if it means to be the topic of conversation for longer than that.

(The threads (this was one of them saying we're not allowed to discuss that particular product have also disappeared. Rolling Eyes)

Eric Lassard: I don't have that facility at the moment, the internet here is horribly slow, hence asking you for details. If you would care to elaborate, it would be appreciated.

Ben O'Brien: No problems at all Eric. All the details are spelled out incredibly clearly, with diagrams and descriptions, on the Kickstarter page. You don’t even have to watch the video. Thanks so much for your interest. All the very, very best.

The dismissive response tells me they're not.

I'm liking the idea of emergency trousers.

If you ride a motorcycle, these are the waterproof over-pants you need in your bag. They may look weird, but they really WORK!
