Wife has cb1000r with top box, uses it all year round. It's great fun and when ridden back to back with hornet 900, it felt like a BMX.

think I have decided on the MT09 but insurance is coming back not so great at around £800 cheapest with MCE then it shoots up to £1200 might have to settle for a CB650F for a few years

There was one on the lift when i went into the garage today, mechanic said it had 100k on it. 14 plate and to look at it you would think 20k.

With the weird tank storage its dull, but for a commuter probably ideal
