140 caps for England, played in the Olympics, but yeah, I can see how she knows nothing about football. Perhaps your beloved Huddersfield, which you couldn't wait to leave, wouldn't have been relegated if she'd been coaching them?

Couldn't exactly have been much worse, could they?

Only my poster girl if naked on a horse MDMA, you should know that!

It is worth watching - best QT since Nick Griffin. I particularly enjoyed the actor whom I'd never heard of before going off on one, shouting at everybody and calling Caroline Lucas 'woman' in a wonderfully derogatory manner. Compelling viewing Thumbs Up

John Rhys-Davies? I remember him as the professor in Sliders, also was in Lord of the rings. Kind of old fashioned Brian Blessed style Brit.

I watched the first half last night and yeah had to turn the sound down with all the shouting. First question was about Climate Change, and JRD talked about population increase in Africa. Caroline didn't like that.

Everyone ignored the elephant in the room until St Vince pointed it out i.e. that THE UK IS NOT THE ONLY COUNTRY THAT EMITS GREENHOUSE GASES. However he then only went on to bash Donald Trump. zzzzzzzzzz

Next question was about whether the mainstream parties felt uneasy about Change and the Brexit party. Stock response was "nah mate they won't do nuffin'". Then someone in the audience shouted that IT DOESN'T MATTER COS THERE WILL BE NO WORLD IN 2030 cos CLIMATE CHANGE.

I turned it off at that point. What a crock of sh1te.

Non-event last night. Nobody on the panel had anything new to add.

Was there anything about the council elections? That was a waste of time.

I see that the Tories got a hammering, and Lib Dem and Greens did well. St. Caroline will be pleased. UKIP also lost a load of seats.

Not really, just the same tired old statements.

The Greens did do well in terms of votes cast, but the real winners were the LibDems at the expense of the Tories. In turn UKIP lost votes, which suggests a swing to Remain. Or it would if local results were an accurate reflection of future General Election results, which they rarely are...

All the major parties have acknowledged they lost because of Brexit fuck up. Trouble is none will change their stance anyway.

Don't agree with that. All it suggests is people don't like the EDL which is basically what UKIP have become.

Do you think the swing towards the Greens is due to all the climate change fun which has been going on in London?

Some of it possibly, but I imagine a lot is in protest due to the lack of anybody else worth voting for.

I don't.

It's the simplest protest vote going. I am just glad they didn't protest too much in my council elections. The greens are going to fuck any area where they get in power.

If last night's QT audience is representative of the population as a whole (which some claim it isn't...), then judging by comparative levels of cheering and applause, Nigel Farage's Brexit Party should walk the European elections.

The audience is apparently local to the show location. It was around 60% leave.

I was lining you up for your usual claim of bias in favour of remain...

Tin-foil hat time but it does seem the BBC is doing something strange....

First broadcasting that EU bashing documentory on BBC4, and now a QT with a large support for BREXIT.

It wouldn't be QT without someone supporting Brexit being called a racist.

As reported, without irony, like wot only the BBC can do:

"How we endured the McCarthy purges in US"

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-48218827

Lol...

Quote:
As Europe and America bear witness to populist politics, Professor Papanek says he would not discount the possibility that a McCarthy could one day return.

I bleedin' hope so! The universities and colleges should have taken the hint and kicked out all the communists instead of pandering to their swivel eyed lunacy replacing education with indoctrination.
