I see the new Galaxy Note comes with half a terabyte of memory Shocked!

Has anyone got one yet?

Are they worth getting over a phone and tablet when either of mine die?

OK, pricey, but not any more than my ipad air and smart phone to replace.

Anyone got pros and cons?

I'm presuming it isn't going to burst into flames in my pocket like the earlier generation did. Laughing

Who needs 512Gb of internal storage in a phone? It's not like you're going to use the device to watch 4K HDR films and even if so, you're going to probably stream them. Confused

It's the storage that makes it expensive, by the way.

I think my steam folder on my pc is around 500GB. That’s a LOT of storage.

But I’d find out if they go bang first, personally.

Had a note 8 for a year now, still not set on fire. battery lasts over a day still with moderate to heavy usage. not slowed since purchase either, still nice and quick.

it's great for watching vids and web browsing with the big screen. oh and I can hold and use the full screen with one hand, it aint too cumbersome even though it is a phablet

Can't say I've noticed that. drag and drop generally. obviously the video player may not support all file types but there are plenty of players on the store...

My motorola phone just piggybacks the card memory onto the phone memory. It's great from that point of view. I presume they all do that now.

ah, okay, I got a cheapo Asus tablet for my trip to NZ in 2015, and it was probably old stock then, annoyed me a lot that I couldn't install apps to the memory card
