Going by my last car, they checked the rear wiper worked, but not the washer jet.

This car has a split hose that lets all the water in to the boot and none to the rear screen.... last car it sprayed out somewhere under the car..... since it was never mentioned during an MOT I never repaired them

All Vehicles Have Wipers, Except Riders. Cats Have Nine Lives.

If only there was an MOT manual which details everything that the tester will be looking for. Sad

https://www.ukmot.com/section-3-visibility.asp#3.5

(also available on .gov.uk but I CBA to find that Razz)

As far as I'm aware no, my lads car has its rear wiper removed and that passes so I doubt the washer is tested.

I would say no because you can clutter / cover a back window on a hatchback / estate car.
If the door/ wing mirrors are fitted you should be ok.

Rear wipers and washers do not come into the test. Defo not checked

The manual tells you what will be checked. In section 3 there is no mention of rear wipers or washers so they will not be checking them
