i have just restored a 12v chaly cf50 fully automatic,
i have fitted a kitaco 75cc piston kit and a big valve head and restored the outside to full 6v looks Thumbs Up Cool

i now want to convert it to manual/auto clutch

anyone have a bottom end kicking about so i can swap the gears over, drill out the gear pedal etc to keep my engine number on the block etc

if not what engines are compatible c50/70/90 cubs??

also, since my engine is 12v but lights are 6v, how do i go about converting the lighting system to 12v

lastly, it bogs if you give it full throttle at low revs so needs to be accelerated slowly, is this normal?

i purchased a 19mm carb for the sake of giving it a go as its currently on the tiny 50cc one with larger jets, i tried them all and this was the best one..

To convert a 6 volt lighting system to 12 volt charging, you....

Take out the 6 volt bulbs
Put in 12 volt bulbs.

I've built more than a few of these in various guises.

Ditch the auto 50 and get a 110, it will be better in ever single aspect.

im not allowed to, the bike is my holiday bike in cyprus and I'm only allowed a 20 percent power increase, i want to keep the original engine numbers as well my 75cc cylinder says 49 cc on it Mr. Green

its an original looking bike

i want to make it a manual though as it loses 5kph between gear changes hahahaha

And who in Cyprus do you think is going to give a shit about a 20% power increase?

You do know there is no MOT for bikes in Cyprus?
As long as you keep your trap shut, no one is going to know!

Considering the amount of stretched, turbo'd up Hayabusas in Limassol, I think you can safely assume that any 20% power increase limit is, like most things in Cyprus, routinely ignored!

Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I have to drive past the british base in dekelia and believe it or not i get routinely pulled over by british police in full met uniform quite often

but anyway the bike looks original and id be asking for trouble with 120cc and drum brakes, converting to discs would ruin it

Personally I don't think the SBA police would care or even know what you'd done, but that's your choice.
Or just buy an old twist and go, for work, loads of 'em on Bazafaki and keep the Chaly for best.

Anyway if you need parts, this guy has always found parts for me:-

N.S. NICOLAIDES LTD
49, Thermopylon,
3041
Limassol

Tel. 25369021

There's also shop in Pafos, he sells a lot on ebay,
His ebay shop is called "i_love_japan_motors".
