Put it in a postbox without a stamp?

Genuinely confused as to why that question even needed asking? But anyway, it's a nice idea. Especially at this time of year when people are likely to be expecting parcels by post. Could make it a double whammy by sending something moderately heavy and unpleasant Twisted Evil

Yeah realised how easy it was after I asked.

My brain was focused on parcels and sending via the post office. Letters are much easier. 🤣👍

I think anything over 2.5mm is classed as a small parcel, so stick a jiffy bag in the postbox, and it'll be £3 to get their glitter bomb Very Happy

Wrap up a brick. Maybe with a note around it saying "next ones coming through the window" then post that to
them stampless. Triple whammy.

1. Inconvenience of collection of parcel.

2. High cost to collect their "free" item. (which turns out to be brick)

3. 3 months of sitting away from the window and jumping everytime there's a loud noise as they will by then know
they are well and truly in someones sights.

If you can make the bricks packaging look like it may contain an expensive item then all the better.
Package shouldn't be brick shaped or sized. Then when they hand over their 4 quid postage fee they will think it's
something decent if it's weighty. Laptop box with a nice double roman in it would be perfect. Laughing

iPhone box with turd in. I think it would cost £2.95 to send second class, so stick a second class stamp on. Although it'll cost them the same (to collect) with or without postage so you could save yourself a stamp.

I'm still struggling with posting a package anonymously.

I don't want to leave a digital trail of me on camera going into a post office. Plus even if I did.... Would they not insist on the correct postage at that point? If not I can just hire a ringer to walk in and deliver it. 😁👍

I don't think you're cut out for this Smile A post office would charge you the correct amount, the only way to do it is attach your own stamps and drop it in a postbox.

That's my point though... Would an iPhone box fit in a postbox? (thinking about grrs idea)

Hmm you might have to force it through, and then it still might not. The only other option would be to find a postie when they're emptying the postbox. Are you sure you want to put this much time into it? Very Happy

What about a letter box size jiffy weighted. Does the price go on size or weight?

I think jiffy bag with lots of small heavy things.

I'm self employed, and I hold a grudge. I won't get bored. 😁

Some main Post Offices have larger slots on the outside of their buildings. Thumbs Up They usually have a brass surround.
They are specifically there so you don't have to queue to post a modestly sized packet if you've already put enough stamps
on it. Just make sure you wear gloves, a wooly hat and some shades when you drop it off. That's easy it's winter.

Awesome idea 👍👍👍 ill call that plan A.

Won't risk it every week as he might involve the popo etc... Don't want to be caught red handed. 😁 I think once in a while with plan A and then in between with jiffy bags....

The extra sweetener will be when he gets sick of it and refuses to collect one.... And it ends up being a real package 🤣🤣

Kind of, you can put any name on it and Royal Mail will try to deliver it. Whether or not the recipient will pay to collect it is another matter.

If you don't know their actual name, you'd be better sending it to "competition winner" or similar.

Need name? here's your best chance. https://www.gov.uk/electoral-register/view-electoral-register
I've opted out myself, but most people haven't.

(not) Amusingly my local post office is a main revenue collection/sorting office. I regularly get carded over a postage discrepancy
of something daft like 2p but with the added RM £1 processing fee. I'm not hard up for a pound but still that's a mega pisstake.
And of course I have to go down there to collect. I have to tell people to not send large greetings cards as they often attract
an extra charge if they only have a single stamp on them. Somehow the royal mail have actually found a way to charge you
MORE for stuff you have to go and collect yourself. I get revenue protection carded about 10 times a year. It's the main
reason I won't use them when I send stuff but their hilarious prices also really help. I hope they go bust tbh, they're going the
right way about it.

Was thinking about getting a Huawei Mate 20 Pro Phone for the wife for xmas.
How about we swap addresses, you order phone and accidentally post it to me, it will never arrive, you will get a refund, and I will post you 50 quid (with a stamp).
Everybody wins.

Yeah, and the actual package/letter needs to look plausible too, cos the recipient can eyeball it at the collection desk and just say, 'nah, it's just another pack of dog shit innit'. So if the is trick is to be repeated ad nauseam, it's vital that sequential packages look obviously different from each other.

However you go about it, I wouldn't count on it being successful multiple times.

Especially if the unpaid postage is expensive.

If you're wanting to send them a box of dog eggs then IMO, you'd be better of paying the postage. If you want to be a cheapskate then you can remove stamps which aren't postmarked from letters you receive and tape them onto whatever you're sending.
