There is a worryingly excessive amount of expertise here on how to post dog-shit.
Note to self: Never upset anybody in forums.

It's no different to posting anything else.

Why would you wear gloves, a woolly hat and sunglasses when you go and put something in a letter box? Confused

The need for retaining anonymity is presumably proportional to the degree of nastiness and legality of the contents of the consignment... Shocked Twisted Evil

Or it's a cold but bright day.

You don't wanna know what sort of stuff Ste posts, especially the stuff he posts on the Internet.

No, really, you don't wanna know.

You can fit a reasonable enough sized parcel in a normal postbox so all you need to do is use a postbox that's not covered by CCTV.

If you're not on CCTV at all then that's much safer than covering yourself up and trying to not to look too dodgy when using a postbox right outside a post office.

Even then, the post mark will be for the sorting office (that's if it gets postmarked) so nobody is going to know exactly which postbox it was sent from. You don't need to worry about the police starting some massive investigation to try and track down who sent a box of dog eggs.

Personally, because I already have a criminal record, they have my prints and photograph & there's CCTV everywhere.
If the aim is to not get caught, then protecting one anonymity is vital. I'd wear latex gloves to prepare the package too.
Just in case of the unlikely event of an investigation by the fuzz of some sort.

Wouldn't be surprised if the postboxes are camera'd up outside a main post office. It's a potential place to steal stuff from.

As a simpler alternative, why not just send a card containing white powder with the message 'Next time...' written on it.

Wait a week then do it again, this time writing 'An early Christmas present...' on it.

And that's why the safest option is to use a postbox that isn't covered by CCTV. Laughing

If for some unlikely reason the police did want to investigate it then they can't identify which postbox it was sent from but again, if you use a postbox that isn't covered by CCTV then there's no chance of you being identified.

Definitely at wearing gloves when preparing it and don't tear sellotape with your teeth. Thumbs Up

It's all about the size of the slot Ste, know wot I mean? There's a red postbox in my street but the hole is maybe
2 and a half inches tall by about 9inches wide. In the High St it's more like 4inches tall by 12 inches wide which,
given the conversation allows for a bigger parcel. That's all.
