Some quite bad results here from cars I wouldn't expect.

My current car, a 4.0L Jeep Wrangler gets around 19MPG.

Worst bike, depending on useage was my gixxer 1000. On a normal ride out would be above 40MPG. Through London traffic, would be approaching 30MPG.

My L200 did 4,200 miles around Europe using a total of 1,062 litres of diesel which worked out as 17.96mpg . However that's ignoring lost receipts and times filling up when we didn't get a receipt; there were lots of both of those so the real mpg was much lower. Laughing

In full off road monster truck trim, less than 10mpg was very normal. Couple of days at a 4x4 site would use a full tank which was 75 litres.

Much fun. Mr. Green

1968 Ford Thunderbird with 429ci motor and slush box.

6-7 mpg was normal, rarely got into double figures unless you grannied it on a run. Best was probably about 12-15.

I love that in a big American fugly kind of way. It looks like it would hoover up everything in front of it. Laughing

It was a bit of a monster, even though it's a 2 door coupe, it made a Granada look like a toy and it weighed in at 2 tonnes, which probably explains the fuel consumption (that and the 7 litre motor)

I think it was the gizmos that impressed me - power windows and seats, vacuum operated light covers and tilt away steering wheel, plus air conditioning and remote boot release.

When I bought it in 1984, this car had stuff on it you couldn't get on a brand new Rolls, let alone a 15 year old one.

The petrol was an issue though - I think it was just shy of 2 quid a gallon then, so the T-Bird cost about 40 quid to fill up; I was earning around £50 a week at that point, so only getting a bit over 120 miles to a tank hit me hard.

I don't think I've ever heard a bigger car bore as the op.
I genuinely can't understand why you keep ranting on about it.
Why? Just to try to argue that it's better than anything else anyone owns on here? Give that one up.
Is it because nobody gives you a second glance on the road? That's because it's only an ST.
Is it because nobody you talk to about it irl wants to listen? That's not because anyone is jealous, it's because nobody cares.
I bet you tried an ST forum didn't you, didn't get the attention you thought you'd get?

Won't somebody please look at me? Laughing

P.S., your dash looks extremely dated.

It was the same when he had that fooked Varadero with a welded sprocket and no bodywork (after riding it through that wall), it was still the best thing ever, then his Fazer even though he had to rebuild and then replace the engine. I assume like all all his other vehicles he'll wreck this and end up selling it for virtually nothing.

If BCF didn't give him the attention he wants then he'd soon fuck off to some other forum.

I bought the brand new car I wanted, not the car I thought everyone else would think I looked like a hero in.
I think I'll buy a brand new Insignia next time, with all the extras available, at more of a discount than your old space mileage shed cost, because I can.
Don't be butthurt, budget boy. Laughing

New Astra VXR is pretty good, old model was s##t, that's true. Shame it comes only with 3 doors (hence why I didn't consider buying it).

I would love to have a VXR8. I can't afford it.

All those Vauxhalls are much wilder than Focus ST and they don't lack character. Defo not A to B cars.

How old? I thought Vauxhall build quality plummeted after GM nearly went bust (in 2010 or whenever). I've definitely not been impressed with the (new) Astra or Corsa models since.

I once got 30 miles out of a full tank on my RG125F. That's because it was fucked. Laughing

I'm getting low 30's out of my Suzuki, mainly due to my driving style. Embarassed

I had a 2009 stage 1 mapped 2.0T S3 that was just shy of 300bhp. Had a lush interior, white alcantara and black leather.
2 door,of course. If i was thrashing that I'd see the MPG drop to as low as 7. It was a fast car.

RGV250 could manage 11mpg on track and as little as 18mpg on road...but hey 252bhp per litre aint ever going to be cheap! was even more £££ as it ran on AVGAS but in unleaded form it would still be under 30mpg on the commute to work Laughing Laughing it was awesome on the back roads tho Wink

Hey Kitt I have a challenge for you.

Go to the back of your car and take a photo of under the rear bumper where the rear wheels fix to the linkages and body work.
You wouldn't dare.
