This has probably been discussed before but being a bit of a youtube fan I've been watching a few videos from vloggers recently are they all annoying self absorbed primates? I was watching one from a guy who's somewhere near Portsmouth & on one of his videos he's apologising for "not uploading some videos for a while"? Confused Then he starts asking for donations! Rolling Eyes The only one that's interesting is the missenden flyer as they all seem to be reviews. Anyone else watch any of these vloggers?

they tend to blab shite to the camera, then get angry at distracted "cagers" using their phones rather than concentrating on the road.

BvG/44Teeth are the only ones I bother with, him and Jason Statham are funny together. RJ is mostly boring, unless you like filtering videos which confuses me as why would people want to watch someone commuting in heavy traffic having probably done the same themselves daily.

vlogs - not really anymore, used to watch them

I do watch this channel a lot, and try very badly to put into practice some of their more basic tips from time to time

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJAvmhgP0h1AEKY8vTEJPJg

and a few how to maintenance vids here and there

anything really worth watching will normally end up in found on the net or bike vids on here anyway, so don't need to follow vloggers

I found it fascinating when I didn't ride. Even messed with a camera myself when I had the 300 because I was a depressed little shit.

Then I got a 9-5 and with less free time than I had before, I realised everyone's actually shit in life (although some people are less shit than others) and that I hear enough fucking shit on a daily basis as it is from people I don't want to hear shit from.

Then I unsubbed to everyone because I didn't want to inflict even more shitty opinions on myself in my (less) free time by watching videos from jumped up twats that have nobody else to talk to other than themselves while they record it.

Actually around the time I jumped on a 600 and started getting faster I stopped giving a shit about anything that wasn't some kind of cool edit, teaching/track footage, or 44teeth-style bike reviews of new 200bhp missiles.

Now I have a GoPro Hero 7 Black and still don't do much with it (I think I recorded twice since buying it). I think the only time I'm going to ever record anything is if I can do a track day that actually lets me wear it on my helmet, but that's unlikely.

It takes good pics though and I like taking pics, but fuck vlogging.

these days I delete 99.5% of what I record, and knock up 30sec to 2min vids for my friends, of whatever mishaps and amusing bits I might catch on a trail ride

I occasionally ride with my GoPro to take photos rather than videos. Nobody wants to see my boring rides, just like I don't want to listen to a long winded and inane story about nothing in particular. Or with clickbait titles like "Nearly killed 50 times, you won't believe what happens!!!!" and the leave the footage to the very end and nothing actually occurs.

No thanks, not a fan.

I like to watch motorcycle crashes on youtube.

If it's vlogger crashing it's a bonus Thumbs Up

I don't watch people talking s##t to camera, or videos of someone riding and not crashing. Boring.

Schaaf is the only one I've watched occasionally when his stuff has been linked to on here. He actually edits interesting footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIRq9OziPxg ...rather than just talking a load of shite.

I'd go touring if I could do it in a montage like that.

Mentioning vloggers on bcf is akin to walking down the street in Saudi Arabia, eating a bacon sarnie while watching porn on your phone.

While I do have a camera on all he time, I don't touch the card except for periodic check to make sure it's still doing it's thing, or I need to get something off it. Workmate had a twunt pull out on him and it was nice to be able to give him the footage.

Vloggers can die in a fire. They teach you nothing, are frequerntly wrong, and the way some of them ride I'm amazed they're not dead.

Vloggers frustrate me for one extra reason:

It seems nobody buys bike mags any more. If Youtube or other sites had genuine journalism with considered thought on each bike, pages of analysis and accurate stats and decent photos, then I could see why print media is dying. However, the printed mags still do better in all these areas.

And if they die in a fire the Mirco SD card would probably be destroyed by the intense heat so the patrons wouldn't get to see the event. Rolling Eyes

BaronVonGrumble was funny in his early days. Rarely watch his vidoes now.

Dellboygarage is OK but he thinks he knows it all and doesn't like being corrected. Wouldn't mind fucking his wife Penny.

I only watch vlogs if I'm in a YouTube wormhole.

What do you mean by M13 turning into a parasite? I used to watch his early stuff before I got my license to learn the controls but his other stuff is okay/interesting in terms of Taiwan culture.

But he does make vids which make no sense e.g the one about his mate being a crypto currency bitcoin or something trading genius making millions...... And yet he doesn't try learning any of it from said mate and doing the same making a vid about him being broke etc
