I've watched a few by that "Premises187" guys videos on youtube.

They were amusing for a bit but he seems to go out of his way to make an incident out of every little mistake people may make and also pretend hes "hard" by wearing a tinted visor and banging the horn at pedestrians.

I did laugh at one of his earlier videos though, where he banged the horn at 2 pizza guys on scooters, who then followed him and nearly kicked the shit off him.

always baffles me to fuck why people donate to vloggers on youtube/twitch.

i mean theyre getting paid by youtube anyway and the content is fucking free.

the people donating probably have less money than the people theyre donating to!

I confess I enjoy watching premises187 for the errm drama. I nearly pissed myself when he had a long rant about not liking country roads. And when he dropped the SV because he got a bottle wedged in the fairing and it obstructted his steering lock. Someone uses his handle on here, not sure if it's genuine.

Used to watch loads of bike vlogs when I was a n00b, now not so much.

This is one of the few bike channels, although I guess its more travel, via bike, that I enjoy watching .

Its all In French but there are subtitles, just a lot more old school. Friends on real bikes going on decent trips. The guy does pretty amazing editing too. Checkout the recent ones in Iceland too, been there in the winter and its so crazy how the place looks in the summer.

As for the rest of them, I dont understand why people find just riding around in traffic moaning is interesting for anyone to watch?? Most of it is just pretty dire.

I thought that 44t channel was going to turn out pretty good, but once they decided that spunking 6 grand on a bike was 'budget' it just got pretty boring.

Its pretty damn hard to find good reviews of bikes and gear too, most of the first stuff you get is just vloggers who wont say anything objective about the product.

There seems to be some muddle about what constitutes vLog (daily waffle?) and helmet cam footage used in other videos, Richy Vida is my favourite, mostly well edited travelogue style videos from touring in Europe and beyond.

Watched another couple last night by "pistonheadchaz" or something she had very autistic eye makeup. A local suzuki dealer gave her a brand new GSXR1000 to play with for three weeks fair play! The worst one I've seen yet though is spicy110 total drama queen.

What is this ceramic paste? Link to a product please?

Is copper grease on pins and backplates not a thing now? What about red rubber grease on the pistons?

I think it's a bit harsh to have a go at dellboy for accepted practices* ? It's still done by Doncaster Motorcycles' Kev and Neil who frequently appear in (is it their own column or are they just media whores?) MCN's workshop warstories. And yes they're my local competent and freindly mechanics and I live in fear of finding my bike in MCN...

But Dellboy advocates increasing preload until there is no sag becasue more preload means stiffer suspention. I call dangerous bullshit.

I make and heat treat my own inlay chisels, partly after watching delboy actually get semi-satisfactory results and having a high turnover of quite expensive fine chisels becasue of the nature of the work. I've not busted up a screwdriver that came with a decently tempered head, if I kill a screwdriver it's usually becasue it's made of something akin to chocoloate rather than steel that can be hardened. It's occaisonally handy to watch a doofus take somehting apart knowing they're more likely to trip over the things that you can scew up with, whereas a pro technician will have something apart in seconds and make it look easy.

That said my favourite stunt when sumoned to deal with a freind's car that is being difficult it to spray plusgas on the rolling disasterpiece and perhaps hit it with a hammer where needed beofre knocking on the door. One coffee later than the impossile disassembly is usally easy....
