If you're young enough that the above means nothing to you, then move on, this won't interest you in the slightest - but after having known that song for decades, someone sent me this link today. The biker - I'm just... speechless

It's 'of the period' - the bike wouldn't be allowed to start on stage which explains the comical actions.
I remember the song in the 70s did they re-release it?

I will just leave these here. Back in the 80s one of the bike magazines gave away a cassette tape with (I think) 4 motorcycle type songs on it. These are the two I can remember.

I saw the first bloke riding about on an old Brit bike in London I think.

Humph. I heard an old boy talking about that song, released when lots of motorbikers were being killed on the road, saying it was "tasteless" (polite).

I bet his exhaust is all shiny.

That first song - took me instantly back to being a snotty little kid at a youth club. Now I'm just snotty..
What's the bike in the first one? A Suzuki?

Apparently he was a top bloke. 👍

The time when the working man could afford engine driven transport due to cheap mass production technology.
Bikes were the popular choice of the testosterone charged delinquents of the day.

See, that Tracey doesn't know everything... he's actually Robert Goulet Rolling Eyes

Here's the complete original from where my clip evidently came from - the TV show's a bit weird but it makes a bit more sense with the original soundtrack rather than the higher-quality version of the song which someone's later overdubbed Smile

If you got your hair done in the mid-80s you were lucky to escape without a soft perm.

Its pronounced Goulay. I was being phonetic which is a bit like pedantic, but with soundz.

That's cheered me up this morning Smile

I went to a Twisted gig once... they cancelled, on the night. Which was fine as I was only there for the support act - Michael Monroe/Hanoi Rocks (see avatar) - anyway. I got double helpings of Hanoi greatness Very Happy

I loved those 60's songs, still do really.

I was about 5 years too late to really be a biker part of that era as I started riding in 1973.
