the Blackbird has departed, and not one to rest on my laurels... straight back on the horse

having another pop at a monster after the short lived disaster earlier in the year.

higher miles, more tatty, more well used, less money... lower expectations

it's an 04 620 (with the 6spd) 25k miles, decent history, brand spanking new pipes which I'll likely sell as theyre obnoxiously loud.

only had it 2 days. very wet ride back up from somerset to wales on thursday evening.

ride back was fine, it's a little skittish/light on its feet. not sure if just the lack of weight compared to the blackbird, or squared tyres/pressures...

we'll see next week, going to go over it and see if there's any surprise jobs. give it a service and check the belt condition. remove the bar raiser spacer. and then just get out and enjoy the bloody thing.

have to say though, I do love it already. haven't spent as much aimless time in the garage in ages.

Had a couple of monsters. Shouldn't be skittish. They are a very stable and good handling chassis. Easy to work on too.

Might feel that way if you jump off of a Blackbird and straight on to a 620 Monster though.

yeah I suspect it's a combination of a square tyre and the weight of a blackbird I was riding last week.

in addition to this, I was riding up the severn estuary and over the severn bridge during that storm we had. could have just been the wind.

I'll go over the bike this week and get out for another ride on the next nice day. I'm sure there's nothing drastic going on

had a quick mooch this evening... seems it's just the tyres. squared to buggery. hadn't realised how much when I viewed the bike.

all good though, I'll chuck another set on shortly.
