No, the home buttons are linked to the motherboard of the phones. You have to use that specific one.

The Home button and others on my Android 'phone packed up, so I installed an app called "back button". I have no idea whether or not there's anything similar for Applethings, but you never know.

They backed down over bricking phones that you change the screen of with a third party screen. Not this unfortunately.
