Dun got scammed... Potentially

Bought a phone from FB marketplace. They didn't take PayPal, I was weary about doing a bank transfer but the seller convinced me she wasn't a scammer and was very chatty. Did bank transfer for £140.00 and then radio silence for three days.

She then told me on Monday that she sent the phone to me but didn't give me tracking info and since then has been no communicado. Phone has not turned up.

I'm Kicking myself for being a fucking tool, I knew I shouldn't have done it. Expensive lesson. I would however like to make this girls life as hard as i can.

What are my options?

If she is on FB you must have some details, area, full name, her mates, see where they hang out regular etc,
doesnt take a lot of work to trace people with minimal information, 192.com is useful once you have the basics.

Call the Police, mention that you think you saw a knife though as they wont bother otherwise. Oh or if you are of a minority, say they racially abused you, throwing a banana or a pork chop.

I've seen a few of these happening locally, where you get the general "don't buy from xxx - fukin scammers #Fummin" posts.

A few of them seem to be fake accounts set up from stealing other peoples info to seem legit - can you be sure that the person is actually the person?

At this time of year, posting something on Monday (could have missed last collection), it's not unheard of for it to not arrive by Thursday.

I'd give her the benefit of the doubt for a couple of days yet.
