Dress'd in a little brief authority,
Most ignorant of what he's most assur'd—
His glassy essence—like an angry ape
Plays such fantastic tricks before high heaven
As makes the angels weep; who, with our spleens,
Would all themselves laugh mortal.”

Apologies to Shakespeare.

They were given false information, I had to prove my innocence (there is no *they* have to prove guilt, whatever it says to the contrary on their tin of justice-system BS).

One day a month in court, lol. World-class.

I'm hoping to stay safe and not get into the robbery scene, but who knows Laughing

We've figured that we should use the JR-EAST;

https://www.jreast.co.jp/e/

To go from Narita airport to Shinjuku, then we can tube 1 stop from Shinjuku to Aoyama-Itchome and walk the last 3 minutes.

We are then doing the same return journey the day before our flight as we have a hotel set up in Narita airport, means no 5am shuffle on the last day.

Kawashima, if you are still reading this one, does that sound right? This page says its OK;

https://www.jreast.co.jp/e/nex/narita.html?src=gnavi

Subway/metro will be a 'wing it' affair. Laughing

It became bit too late to respond your post though,
Yes you can use N'EX(Narita Express) of JR-EAST.
N'EX train cargos are separated at Tokyo station into two, which goes to Yokohama, and to Shinjuku.
If you are in a wrong cargo, you'll go to Yokohama, but N'EX seats are all reserved, so no worry.

The separated train which goes to Shinjuku, some goes far more to Ikebukuro, so please don't forget to get off at Shinjuku station.(It's not always a last stop)

From Shinjuku to Aoyama-Ichome,
Take Toei(Toei Metro)Oedo line, it's easiest. It's 3rd station from Shinjuku.

You can also get off N'EX at Shibuya and take (Tokyo Metro)Ginza line to Aoyama-Ichome too. But Shibuya station is one of the most complicated structure and you may be get lost, so I suggest getting off at Shinjuku not Shibuya.

Go to Shinjuku by Narita Express

JR Shinjuku station to Toei Oedo line Shinjuku Station

Edit 2
Walking from JR Shinjuku station to Toei Oedo line Shinjuku station(bit far and also located at underground 7th floor) may takes about 10 minutes.

And there are two different Shinjuku stations for Oedo lines.
Should go to Shinjuku station, not Shinjuku-Nishiguchi station.

Toei Oedo Line Shinjuku Station

The Toei Oedo Line subway forms a near-loop under central Tokyo, with a branch going westward from Tochomae under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings (city hall) to Higashi-Nakano and Hikarigaoka. The Oedo Line also has stations in Iidabashi, Ueno, Ryogoku, Tsukishima, Shiodome, Daimon, Roppongi, Aoyama and Yoyogi among other areas.

The Oedo Line has two stations at Shinjuku: one called Shinjuku and the other called Shinjuku-Nishiguchi, which means Shinjuku west gate. The Oedo Line Shinjuku Station is located underground near the southwest corner of JR Shinjuku Station and the Toei Shinjuku Line Shinjuku Station.

Edit 3
Just in case JR Line stops etc, I want suggest this route.
(I wrote "Avoid skyliner" was because I misunderstood your destination was "Oshiage")

Thanks man, I think we've got that bit correct then Smile

Shinjuku was the suggested station.

Just seen the edit. Damn son! Thanks for that. Very very helpful. I hope we don't get lost but you never know Laughing

I'm planning on going out there for my honey moon, mainly to raid the gaming shops in Akihabra, to buy any bits to keep my import scooby running, (fucking window switch just cost me £240, because it is only used in my obscure car for a certain time period) to visit the Ghibli museum and do this...

https://fun2drive-japan.com/

I want my Initial D kicks in the AE86 Laughing . I thought it seemed pretty cheap, maybe worth a look.

Ok so I'm here and wrapping up my holiday.

Piece of piss, everything is a piece of piss. Thanks kawashima for the insight!

Flight sucks big balls. Don't fly Swiss.

If it helps, I did....

Keisei from Narita to Ueno. Ginza line towards Shibuya getting off at Aoyama-itchome. For the underground and JR to Yokohama including seaside line, we used PASMO. I would recommend that 100%, just tap and go.

Keisei was 2500ish each way, PASMO was 500 (takes out of top up, top up 5k and start from there) we topped up another 2000 but we did do 1200+ in a day.

Akihabara is BUSY. But I spent so much time in the arcades. Visit gyukatsu ichi ni san as it's amazing. If you are a big eater, get a double. Also, found grated yam tasted and smells like a bin that hasn't been emptied.

Happy to advise if you want to know anything else!

I highly suggest you learn basics. Sumimasen, wakarimasen and arigato only go so far.

Fuck rush hour.
Fuck maid cafes and touts.

That is all!

So can you speak the lingo? I saw a documentary about some Yank that got done trafficking weed in his shoes. He got caught, his prison life seemed to revolve around him sitting perfectly still in his cell in a certain position and if he deviated from that position he got yelled at by the guard.
