Now the Ginger Whinger is gone.................how do you like your effing eggs in the morning year in year out did my nut in.

Really pissed me he joined in with all the great once in a lifetime opportunities mere mortals shelled out thousands for for children in need............and he just freeloaded and rubbed it in.

Good riddance, hope he fades into obscurity with Virgin radio. Twisted Evil

A product of the BBC.

I don't particularly like him but he's not the one that really gets my goat. That accolade is for Jeremy Vine.

They seem to be creating crap programmes just for him.

Mind you, the BBC are guilty of it all the time. That thick welsh bird from the one show (that wifie loves Evil or Very Mad ) pops up everywhere now.

Didn't he start off at C4, a la Big Breakfast.
Really wound me up how he obviously got all the film crew to laugh loudly at his jokes.

This^+1.

The way he talked over EVERY single record and seemed to just love the sound of his own voice drove me to dispair.
I like Radio 2 but switched off because of him.

Over the last year or so I've become pretty uninterested in any BBC output.
I'm not sure I can really pinpoint what it is, but most of their programming just comes across as dull. There's no edginess to any of it.

I dunno if it's just me but I'm even finding the latest mini series of Luther boring, when I enjoyed all the others. It is like they've either cancelled or wrecked everything I'm interested in.

I agree but the ratings and viewing figures seem pretty good (for the new doctor)? I assume some of that is due to the child audience who are fairly oblivious to it all.

It's funny how just with Dr Who you can chart how far they've fallen down the rabbit hole. You had Clara pining after a diversity boyfriend she barely knew, then a black Lesbian assistant, then Dr Who's diversity squad...

Nope. From what I hear ratings were at 10m when she took over, but have slumped to about 6m.

As I said, I really can't understand why this is happening #NotallowedtosayPal.

I've only looked at Wikipedia figures: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_episodes_(2005%E2%80%93present)#Series_11_(2018)

Starting off at 10.96 mil' and falling to a low of 6.65, still more than the last two series achieved outside of Christmas specials.

I'm not wanting to turn this into Dr Who talk Shifty but I don't get what they thought was missing before. For example the episode a few series back where they traveled to Victorian London complete with black kids and a Lesbian alien couple...

https://queerscifi.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/19d724381995d5dadcee2e9c31b1101b.jpg

Also 'The Master' became a female character, yet they remembered to make a decent Sci-Fi show, until Capaldi's last season where it became all about his assistants blackness and Lesbianism.

Even when Whittaker was announced there was talk of she should have a female assistant, women have been short-changed by Dr Who etc.. Thinking

I do like stuff on the BBC, but nearly always the stuff I like, is an "xyz production for the BBC". So, the output I do enjoy is not produced by them.

My bedside alarm is Radio 2 but only because I can't stand it, hear it in the morning, get angry and can't lie in! It does have its uses..

Should try listening to it later on at night. They have some right old hags presenting.

Really can't stand Evans. Him and his chums freeloaded and trampled on some greats to gain fame and popularity - Gazza for example. Notice how they've left him for good now that he's broken?
That wifey who married Evans - only for the money. There's no way it was his personality. You just know that as soon as he inseminated her (ewww!) there were dollar signs in her eyes.

BBC? Wouldn't be too bad if it was free.

Radio wise, I just don't if it's not Planet Rock, and between the annoying presenters and all the adverts that's enough to fuck me off.

I used to tolerate a bit of Absolute radio too, but they swing every way with the music played. But unless it's rock or 80's-90's dance then I don't listen.

Its definitely not like I'm a narrow minded musically racist old bastard though. Laughing

if Chris and Jeremy were drowning in a vat of liquid dog shit and I could only save one of them, I'd be wondering what kind of beer to have to watch with.

I used to like Absolute until they started playing mainly 90s Indie/rock, which I like a bit of but not all the f'ing time (dunno if they still do). When people used to listen to Jeremy Vine at work it just used to make me feel depressed, due to the topics he'd discuss, like waking up during surgery etc..Neutral

The topics aren't the problem, it's Vine going on the "attack" when he's not getting the OMGWTFOHNOESTHINKOFTHEKITTENS! response he's hoping for and making a fucking huge deal out of nothing. It's like he aspires to be Jeremy Kyle.

Anyway, "Alexa, play 80's music" FTW.

Alexa, skip.
Alexa, skip.
