I was saying I'm not selling the YBR, my dad has just done his CBT so when I get myself a bigger bike which hopefully will be within the next month I'll loan him my YBR until September when my son turns 17 at which point he'll have it back off my dad and my dad will have to start looking for something else but hopefully he'll have done his DAS by then.

Thanks man. Like I said I think I'd be daft not to go for it just given the location and price. Anything else I've seen is well over £2,500 more like £3,000 plus. And I know this guy will have looked after it well as he's a mechanic. Could probably pull his pants down at £2,000 and sell it the next day for £2,500 but not gonna do that LOL besides he'll get lots of future business out of me anyway, probably in his interest to sell it to me rather than someone random. Having said that, whatever bike I buy next I'll still be taking it to him which makes that point irrelevant :-/

I've pointed this out many times to my pupils.....provenance means everything in antiques.. what's different in bikes...buy from who you trust and pay a bit more... honesty wins out.

they spend so much time working on others vehicles they never get round to doing things to their own

Mechanics seems to take perverse pleasure in picking vehicles up cheap, doing no maintenance whatsoever, and seeing how long they last.
