What a bollocks statement. It depends what you do with it.

I agree, I'd only avoid one for regular motorway work, but even then it depends on the bike. The XT660 only has 5 gears, so sitting at high revs for a long period of time gets tiring.

What a bollocks statement, I can have whatever opinion I like.

The guy wanted his R6 back. He's talking about Bandits and so on, and then goes for two single cylinder bikes.

Of course you can. Doesn't mean it's right though. Like that time you were talking about Ohlins. Laughing

He can have a single as his only bike if he wants. Razz

Pretty sure whatever bike he gets is a toy rather than his only mode of transport?

The XT660R or F650GS seem a better idea than a Blandit 400 or 600.

Are they being sold privately? We haven't even asked about prices!!

I've spotted an XT660R that's just about in the price range and only 7 miles away. I was never going to keep to my budget, no point trying to kid myself.

I've bought the BMW, hope it's not too boring. Thanks for your input guys. Very Happy

It was a private sale and I think I got a good price.

Now to sell the Shadow.

I think you might have just done the same as you did with the cruiser, but I hope you do like it!

I hope not Marjay. It's about half the size of the cruiser. I hope I'll like it. If not then I'll get something else.

I just want a laid back ride around the country roads, no screaming R6 and no behemoth of a cruiser.

Got it for a reasonable price (£1600), it comes with a top box, heated grips, It has a brand new chain and sprocket, 28k miles.

It might be about right then, it might be a bit breathless, but this does make me feel a bit better about the choice for you.

I thought you were basically looking for an R6 but not an R6 and for less money... so I guess I was wrong about that one.

I change my mind like the wind. Wanted a bandit and ended up with a BMW. Laughing

Does this mean I only have to nod at fellow BMW riders now then?
