Just put the camera into the oil feed hole, couldn't get far as there were cogs that were too small to see through but I did inspect them too as I could see them, everything bottom end is fine, well oiled; no head gasket reminese or any metal. In the sump there was hardly any, there's 0 metal in the oil strainer but there is a lot of crap in the strainer itself; unsure of the next step here. I'm getting pipe cleaners for the oil lines and I'll run those through the oil feed crevises that I can get too; nothing seems bad it all looked good; should I do all I've said then try again? That strainer did seem awful and the crap on it wasn't budging with scrubbing force either

Is the strainer held in only by the fact that the sump presses it upwards? You said that it fell out easily. If it is not sealing at the top then the pump might have been pulling air past that seal which would reduce the amount of oil getting into the pump as well as aerating the oil which might vastly reduce it's viscosity.

Yeah it is I believe, I should've phrased it better, it slid out with the sump but it looks like it locks into place inside of the sump (Might not have been, but It looked like it had 3 side fittings around it) But yeah the sump dropped and it slightly came with it and then I just pulled it out

A cause for concern or a hooray? I cleaned out the oil that situates right below the strainer which had some crap in it and I saw something huge; quite worrying until I uncovered it.

Now I'm quite baffled and confused as I have no idea what this is

Well it's not sealent, it's not gasket, it's not metal, it's rubber; it kind of reminds me of electrical tape but it's a huge piece; enough to cover 1/4 of the filter and with the rest of the crap in that filter about 2/4 maybe even more

What do you guys think, as I'm assuming this light material would float and stick to the filter when the bikes running...just confused on how it got there...

Fair to say you've found the root of your problem, a blocked strainer. Shame it took trashed follower and probably a trashed camshaft to find out.

I'm glad my suggestion seems to have been useful.

I'd want to know exactly what that strainer blocking lump is, what it's made from, and from where it came in the motor before I'd even think about replacement top end components and putting the engine back together.

Is it rubber? Gasket material? Paper? Plastic? etc.

People pour oil into engines from jugs and sometimes use funnels or all sorts of things to get the oil in the engine. If it is rubber it could have been in the bottom of the oil jug , I've seen all sorts go into engines , dead flies, missing washers, once it's gone in the mechanic goes either" oh it will be alright" ,,....... or " well if it's a problem they'll bring it back."
It looks like a bit of gasket to be honest

A guy who screwed me over twice, works for JHS Racing. I'm never going back there again. Did valve clearances on my old engine and it was ticking, said he couldn't fix it or find the problem, took it to my partners father figure who's an Alfa Romeo Specialist and he helped me look it over and the valve clearances on the front row were 3 times out, 2 collets were pushed up and he charged me full price

Then the engine went after about 2000 more miles as I couldn't afford to repair it so I swapped my dead engine for a refurbished one with some cash and then yeah this happened. Never going there again.

The texture seems to be tape or a piece of glove, it's not sealant as it's the wrong shape and wrong texture, it's flat and you can hear it like tape

I agree with the glove bit but how big is it actually, there isn't anything to gauge it against.

even the filter screen is part way out of its housing, as well as some other debris. Go back to the company and watch what they do in the actual workshop, do they have gloves on and are they of the same type??

Then tell the company of what you have found.

They won't give a monkeys and will fob it off since it was dismantled at home. You could try but don't hold your breath. Personally I would rebuild it or find another lump and move on.
