I have had a look in the manuals section, anyone have info on this bike please, registered as W reg, xxx 111W. Suzi zr50 restricted to 30mph with points ign.

The info I need is ht coil primary and secondary resistance, as well as ign coil ( inside flywheel ) resistance value please.

The last person ( years and years and years ago ) had carelessly refitted the flywheel and bent the metal arm of the points with the fibre heel attached, but i have "straightened" it as best as possible.

No spark, so attended to earths ( the bike has been in poor storage and is very rusty, including the open flywheel mag, and the engine has had water in it due to missing spark plug, but does turn over and is making the right noises. apart from the bearings rumble that is.

The gear box drain plug was missing, a pool of new oil now on the floor, but since cleaned up. Replacement plug found in odds and sodds box and engine is a bit quiter now it has some gearbox oil.

If it helps the electrical bits are also common to the X1 and TS50ER.

Have had talks with its owner, and his daughter who will be riding this bike as a field bike first, then possibly getting it on the road, costs being important.

If we cant get a flywheel ign coil, or re wind it, we will probably just use the points to trigger a battery powered ign system with an other ht coil.

The flywheel mag has a battery charging winding to it will charge the battery when the engine is running.
