mmmmm, they have kindly replied with info that seems to be for their "pointless ign system" of the time, the cdi system for the later zr50. They do not hold info for the cb points ign flywheel mag for the earlier zr50, but i have enough "naws" to get the engine to run. The external coil has a make and break contact insidie the wire going to the external ht ign coil which has been fixed, and the plug cap had infinite resistance, but I did see a spark when i kicked the engine over, not toooo good a spark but a spark non the less.

Now the engine has been "ventilated" and most of the water and red emulsified oil ( leaky 2t oil pump as 2t tank was empty ( the pipe to the pump was off so thats why it may have been empty, but the red stuff that came out may indicate otherwise ) ) it stands a chance of running, but is gunna be noisy.

Did i say that when i checked the gearbox oil was checked via the clutch cover level plug, no oil came out. I added oil only to see a "pool" of the stuff growing under the engine. The twat who had this bike in the past had removed the drain plug for some reason and not put it back in.

Anyways stand by for indian smoke signals this weekend hopefully :D :D

ps this little suzi is a real barn find, more like an open field find really :D :D :D
