Its part of the new work economy. This is the future low paid self employment. People eeking out a living making cheap content. Its just like artisan weavers pre industrial revolutuon. Its goinf to get worse as well as the market fills with content. Theres so many teens who can use the technology in their sleep.

I see it as monetizing BS. You used to go to school, then get a job in the city and learn how to make money from BS, but the youth have worked out how to do it for themselves. I don't really care it's just a bit weird when some teenage 'guy' who does makeup reviews is apparently some sort of god and brings a city to a halt when they visit.

He's not the messiah...

We have an allusion of value with broadcast media because for so long it was inherently expensive to deliver. Thats changed so much now that the true value of content is starting to reveal itself. Which is as Paul Daniels sagely advised forty years ago "..... Not a lot!".

I'm not sure the gadget show are interested in obscure music equipment Smile Techmoan is one of the few youtube people I watch, and by watch I mean one or two videos every 6 months.

I easily watch more Youtube than broadcast telly these days. I watch a liot of various wood working vlogs and Jay Lenos Garage mostly and also this odd little channel where a guy restores old Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnsnjDFdtULQ4ILpABYb9UQ Its oddly relaxing I can well recommend it.

Funny thing is I’ve watched a few of them Embarassed and thought to myself how that might be a good idea for a hobby when I’m to old to ride a bike or go fishing.
