Hi all newbie here.
I'm really new to this. I just recently purchase this CBR125 I heard stories about seized engines are really expensive to fix. I would like to check whether this CBR125 engine is normal - I do hear ticking sound from the top of the engine. Also, It has faint smoke coming from the exhaust is this also normal. Do I need to be worried about this? Need advice from experienced users!

So you are on your won then.....apart from on here.
Visit cmsnl and study, print the exploded views off which can only help you.
You now have the manual and will know about stuff like the centrifugal oil filter, and how to service that, but dont use an impact screw driver on those 3 pesky countersunk screws, unless you want to but a new filter body and cover, then you run into the problem of a peg spanner etc..
Look and learn form the cmsnl views, read, read and read again the manual for the service jobs you need to do, gather the tools and do the jobs needed.
valve clearance, centrifugal oil filter service ( and sump flush out as well as clutch basket finger internal surface clean ( they act like a centrifugal crap collector also ) , cam chain check and adjust, air filter, fuel filter ( if fitted ) and plug, thats a basic engine service.
dont forget the rear chain and brakes, regular tyre pressure checks and CHECK THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL ! ____________________ nuts about bikes |
