I want to hydrodip the center console in my Forester, currently it has crappy carbon wrap on it that is peeling and looks gash. Standard it is silver which doesn't really go I don't think. Initially I was going to get it dipped in carbon effect, but decided if I'm dipping it I can get pretty much ANYTHING on it.

This one has been painted black which looks OK but I was thinking about doing something a bike more eye catching.

My initial ideas.

Rising sun.
Colourful space type thing, nebula etc.
Stickerbomb
Comicbomb

I know it's probably a bit Chavy for BCF standards but I gotta live the JDM lyfe. Laughing

Probably in the wrong section.

Workshop jobs in workshop. No?

And two karma demerits for the Chavy McChave Face idea. 😂

Never knew this exited. Shocked

I'm still somewhat confused as to how it works. Is it paint or a transfer?

Or like a mini vinyl wrap?

If you are going to sticker bomb it, at least do it properly, and buy a sheet of stickers, the sticker bomb wrap look shite

Its also a hell of a lot easier to do than wrapping

In true Blue Peter fashion, here is one i prepared earlier

It's been a phad for a while but popular YouTube subject.

https://youtu.be/ZRjoiBc8970

It's very artsy-fartsy though so results are possibly for the eye of the beholder.

I think some of it looks good.

Perhaps excessive trial and error required.

It would depend on how easy errors are to remedy too.
Dip it on then dip it off if fucked up.

It's a dull dark plastic Japanese interior, what can you ever do to that to make it have style and look interesting?

I'm not a stylish person, but I don't get sticker bombing or plasticote or textured stone look treatments etc.

Oh and why do you want to follow the JDM style?

Most of it is crap! There's not a Japanese car out there that doesn't look better with standard bodywork, lowered sensibly and on a nice set of quality wheels. Maybe with a medium window tint and a reasonably subtle mirror polished stainless exhaust system and that's it.

The Drift look, the Bosoku style and the crazy bodykit look, or t the stupid stickers up the doors, and stripes and wrap etc are all terrible and crap.

Maybe a few sponsor stickers on a WRC replica are ok, or a rally livery if your totally obsessed with the sport or a hero driver, but generally speaking the more modified classic Jap cars are the more crap they are!

They'll do a bike as well or a lid or even a whole plane, apparently

The print is on a sheet of PVA which is softened with activator so it neatly wraps around the work piece, then it's laquered to seal and protect it.
