Hi all,

I’m having a problem with my daelim roadsport 125 where I can get it to start with a can of engine start and tick over for like 5-10 seconds but then it dies and won’t restart till I spray engine start into it again.

It’s had a new injector and spark plug but still won’t have it. Fuel pump is feeding fuel to the injector.

The engine management light is flashing error code 25 (2 flashes, pause, 5 flashes) which according to the service manual is the engine speed sensor but it doesn’t say where on the bike this is

I would say a crankshaft speed /position sensor is the same.

Really hope it’s not that with a 50 quid price tag

I really don’t understand why it runs at all if the sensors not working

The sensor maybe allowing a spark but not working the injector.
From what you say the injector is not working /opening.
Maybe it has a camshaft sensor for the injector to work?

It may be a poor connection on a sensor or at the e.c.u. box.
If you check any remember to dis-connect the battery first.

Well, had the stator cover off and it looked like someone had tipped melted vanilla ice cream in it Confused I think theres a slight chance my head gasket might have gone

I cleaned up the sensor and the bike ticked over fine (although i dont think i should have started it in hindsight) so it wasnt broken just dirty

Thanks for the help anyway guys, bikechatforums to the rescue once again
