If in good condition are these worth the risk in regards to cylinder liners going pop? Is it a matter of pot luck or a case of it will happen just when?

Thanks for any help.

If it’s still running it’s probably ok. Most of the racers use the later FI lump with the carb head to get round the issue.

Still running but low miles.

Looked up the changing to the slightly later FI engine with a carb head, lots of messing that I don't particularly want to undertake if possible.

Thanks for the info though

Rather than starting a new thread, does anyone have a van (or man with van) or trailer that I could borrow off them for a fee to potentially transport a bike. I'm based in the south east/south so preferably not too far but willing to travel a bit.

Obviously I'd cover all fuel costs + a fee for using.

Please PM me if you're able to help at all.

Thanks for any help.

There's a few folk who offer this service particularly for bikes and will even collect without you having to go with them. It's not expensive either.

I strongly recommend looking at www.shiply.com - even if you don't end up using the service, at least you'll get some quotes to know how much you should be paying
