Can't help but think that would have been dealt with better using the snowplough technique.

The scooter boy barely got a tap and he laid the scoot down, he was just gagging for a fight as long as his mates were helping.

looks like they're asking for the old antifa treatment:

Blocking the road seems to be an effective way to piss everyone off and get hit.

Van driver deserved what he got. Just because he was late for work doesn't give you the right to hit bikes.

He should have turned around and found another route.

If you go out of your way to piss people off, don't be surprised if they do something that pisses you off.

I don't understand the logic of alienating the general public when what you want is them to show support for your cause.

They scooter rider also got what he deserved - and it seems may also lose their job they don't like over it too.

It's a protest! They have the right to protest. Smile
Presumably their intention isn't "go out of your way to piss people off" it's to draw attention to the way they are being treated.

It's an extremely small inconvenience for a road to be blocked, just turn around and find another route. It's like seeing a 'Road Closed' sign, smashing it down and then driving straight through.

Indeed, but they don't have a right to stop other people going about their rightful business.

This. If you protest by the side of the road you'll get people beeping in support, if you block the road and hold everyone up they'll be very unsympathetic to your cause.

The road isn't closed. It's actually a ballache to get a road properly closed. This is just a bunch of pricks standing in in the way. Now, you get a load of them being threatening as you try to edge your way through, and if you play it right, you'll very likely get away with squashing a couple of them on your way through. Getting out and chasing them with a hammer, maybe not so much, no matter how annoying the pricks are.

If you're going to protest, fine, have at it. But be smart about it.

Blocking roads is a sure fire way to piss people off.

Do you think the deliveroo riders would be pissed off if they were prevented from working by people who decided to block the road?

Is the protest outside Deliveroo headquarters or somewhere along those lines and the people being blocked are the head honchos who the riders have got grief with? Or is it a random street and the people being inconvenienced are nothing to do with whatever the riders are unhappy about?

Maybe?

And if they rammed the protesters and somebody slashed their bike tyres, then my stance would be the same as with the van driver.
They got what they deserved.... just turn around and find another route.
