Arai quantum st pro works well for me...day in day out. And, didn't cost 500 ponds.

Put the shaded small visor up, go full speed and watch your shaded and main visor fly off.

Not joking this really happened and when I bought the helmet is was more than 500, honest (3 years ago) the bright yellow on the sides with the red and a fingerprint on the top of the helmet, hidden marking. I like the helmet it fits great and looks great in my biased opinion.

Seriously put the shade visor up give it welly and watch both the visors fly off. I was riding down the east coast of Scotland towards Berwick so the wind didn't help but bang. Needed nearly 90 to replece with visor with pinlok...no ferkin stupid sunvisor this time.

grumble grumble.

Nope. Doesn't...and is still on. All day today. Smacking the bike up to 70 in 3rd didn't lose it. You got a bad one. I paid 290 for mine.. 3 years ago. It's noisy, yes. But shit, no! I prefer a drop down sun visor.... When the shit off the road covers both, I'm a bit stuck.

Sticking some sort of attachment to your visor causes aerodynamic issues Thinking

I never understood why they put the shaded visor on the outside. My mate has one though and regularly hits 130+ without issues.

They won't compromise their hats. That's it. Like the sharp argument, arai do, as arai do.

Don't know but I'm sure Arai do.

Either way, getting a 5 star SHARP rating shouldn't be the first objective for a helmet manufacturer so designing their lids based on their 65 years of knowledge and experience rather than based on getting a 5 star SHARP rating is no bad thing in my opinion.

Not sure I follow that logic, Rover made cars for many years then when NCAP started it killed off the Metro. For all we know Arai might make great racing lids but SHARP has exposed vulnerabilities they refuse to acknowledge.

To be clear on my position I wouldn't have an Arai just cos of the cost not for any other reason Smile
