Hi all, there used to be a guide on how to fix instrument cluster faults on a vfr 800.. Basically adding extra wires, to bridge faults on the wiring circuit,,,, But i cant find it now.. Anyone still have this? My backlights arnt working, no probs in daylight.... But night time...

I vaguely remember the thread you mean, and I thought it was on this forum... I wondered if it was one of Stinkwheels on his 750... However I did find this on a quick Google:

Thats great, maybe a project after i get the lights to work. Thanks, Im more after guidance about bridging faulty circuit wires that have broken, corroded etc behind the instriment panel.. J

Yeah I'm sure there is a thread where someone soldered black wires over the breaks in the tracks... As I said, I thought it was Stinkwheel, but I can't find the thread.

The standard way to repair a broken track on a circuit board is just to use a piece of tinned copper wire soldered in place if space allows
