Hello all

Very confused here - I've fitted a new pair of mirrors with LED indicators incorporated on the rear facing side (so they face traffic towards me).

When I use my fob to activate/deactivate my datatool alarm they flash brightly.

When I either switch the ignition on or start the engine and turn on the indicators or hazards, they're really really dim. As in, I have to squint up close to see that they're even working!

They're connected to the stock indicator male/female lead as well.

Any suggestions? I've tried fitting another pair from a different vendor entirely and the problem persists, so it can't be the mirror/indicstors causing the issue. I also hooked up a volt meter and can see there's plenty of current going through.

Wild guess, when they flash through the alarm they get power through the alarm. When they flash as indicators, they get power through the indicator relay.
Is it possible that the indicator relay, or switch, is just not doing the job?

When you say that there is plenty of current going through, what voltage readings are you getting at the led indicators?
How have you wired them in? In parallel with the oe indicators? Are the oe indicators still connected? What bike - does it have some fckn canbus that cuts power to them because they're not the right resistance?

So many questions. Wink

I concur with jnw. What is your relay type?

Did the bike originally come with bulbs?
