What do you do when you have total electrical failure?

Seem to have lost it all, except the alarm. Can't find neutral and can't use electic start. Bumping works okay.

Was coming off the A14 and slowing down, indicated and it backfired and rev counter stuck at 6K. When I stopped it wouldn't start again and it keeps juddering if i use indicators. I tried charging the battery to see if that helped but it didn't.

Any suggestions? I'm scarpered.

Cheers

If the fuses are all okay, you've probably got an earthing problem somewhere off the main loom. This is all providing the battery is okay, is it definitely holding charge? You haven't reversed the polarity have you?

it sounds a lot like a dead battery, if the cells are gone charging it up wont make any difference. Get it load tested, any place that sells batteries should have the kit.

Umm sorry guys, sorted it now. It was the fuses. Checked it today and saw it'd snapped. Just (literally - though half cut as I may be!) put in a new fuse and it sparked into life. All is good on the Eastern front.

CHeers for the help though...good ol reliable BCF
