Yes I know there are a few threads on this but I'm thinking of getting
a set for my CBF500 from Amazon, £11.95.

What's the current thoughts on Goldfren?

Got a set on the front of the VFR - No problems or issues. Wear is unknown, but I've not long changed them. Nothing seems amiss, and I've had the calipers off to degunk a couple of times since changing them.

Have them on my zx6r, no concerns. I'm a commuter rather than a B road racer, and they were fine for me Thumbs Up

I fitted them to out Fazer hack. Cheap, did the job but I didn't like the feel of them.

I put Armstrong on next as they weren't much more and preferred them but as I said, the Goldfren certainly did the job.

Saying that I wouldn't even dream of fitting them on my Trophy. OEMs only due to the ludicrously over complicated linked brake system.

Got them on Striple. Like them. Not enough to never try a different brand again, but if the next pads I buy are bad, would happily go back to the Goldfren.

However, others haven't been so happy

But I've done 4k miles on the S33 and am happy so far.

I was given a set of Gold Fren pads for the FJ1200 when I bought it back in 2015.So I thought that I would give them a try not having experienced them before. So far they have lasted a 3,000 mile round trip of the Continent in 2016 and a 2,400 mile trip around France in 2017 with plenty of pad material left.

I am aiming for Tuscanny this year so will be keeping an eye on pad wear during the trip Thumbs Up Cool
