I fitted a complete new master cylinder to my Honda 250 as it was leaking. Then tackled the seized piston by replacing it with a stainless steel one with new seals. Went to bleed the system and found the brake line is blocked solid. I have ordered a new braided one from Ebay which was not too painful. Just thought I would share this with everyone as I have never come across this before. Regards to all.

I have. It appears that it's possible for the internal rubber of the pipe to fail in such a way as to become a one way vakve.

It happened to my brothers bike on the day I moved out of Bath and he had to get it trailered to London the next day.

It happened on my R850R. The liner of the rubber brake lines collapsed and blocked the lines completely apparently it's not that uncommon either.

Fitted the new braided pipe, bled the system. Bingo it stops. It is possible that the new master cylinder I bought was not required. Better safe than sorry. The piston and seals, master cylinder with lever and braided hose and pads came to a total just under £80. Not bad for a Jap bike and easy to work on.
