I came off my Rxs a similar way a few days ago. Going round a chicane when it's moderatly wet = slipping out and sliding along on your knees. Crying or Very sad No damage to mine though! Razz The indicators and the bars take the brunt of fall. Very Happy

The width is not that important really (and in the wet a narrower tyre will slice through the water more effectively), just that getting hold of decent tyres for narrow rims is difficult, and most people land up with some cheapies from the Fuk Yew Rubber Co.
