Bolts on front disc won't do up tight

A couple of boots on the front wheel of my Honda VFR 800fi won't do up tight, they just keep turning.

Are my only real options a replacement wheel from EBay etc?

Should be able to helicoil them I'd have thought, but you might need to do them all, and you'll definitely need to re-balance the wheel afterward.

A helicoil or time-sert should be stronger than the original thread.

Helicoil not timesert for disc bolts. They have a shoulder that locates the disc. You can buy helicoil/recoil sets off ebay pretty cheap.

You might be surprised at how cheap a scrap wheel is.

I think I paid £30 for the last one I got.
